While you shop for your 2022 Chevrolet Equinox, you'll be able to choose from four trim levels: the LS, LT, RS, and Premier. The RS is all-new for the 2022 model year, bringing a sportier, more adventure-focused personality to the lineup. The RS has black accents for a tougher appearance, including black roof rails. If you choose the Premier, you'll get a hands-free gesture liftgate that helps you gain access to your rear cargo area with your hands full. Each model comes equipped with LED headlamps, but the LT adds LED daytime running lamps. The RS adds LED tail lamps.

The 2022 Equinox draws its muscle from a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that outputs 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The new Equinox can get up to 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.

The Equinox comes standard with a front-wheel-drive system, but you can replace it with all-wheel drive if you need a boost in road-gripping traction. The available adaptive cruise control can speed up and slow down your SUV to match what the vehicle ahead of you is doing. If you're allowing your teenager to drive the Equinox, you can use the Teen Driver Technology feature to see how they are performing when you're not around.

The Equinox seats up to five passengers in two rows. The rear row has a 60/40-split that lets you customize your cabin. Fold your rear seats forward to create up to 63.9 cubic feet of cargo space. For all-season comfort, opt for the LT trim level with the Confidence & Convenience package to enjoy dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats. The RS comes standard with this package and adds a black interior with red contrast stitching to create a darker personality. Go for the Premier to add leather upholstery to the mix.

The Equinox also gives you plenty of tech features to improve every drive. Each trim level boasts a 7- or 8-inch touch screen that's compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A 4G Wi-Fi hot spot comes standard as well.
